Kels, I am so sorry! I missed TWO of your updates! I had friends down from California and I was completely distracted.
Nonetheless, I'm here now and I'm ready to review!
Alright, so things really aren't looking too good for Mikey and Brook, are they? It's just such a hard place to be in - recovering. The temptation must be exhaustingly overwhelming and with Brook's self-harming past it only adds to the trouble and pain.
I know that I said that they were perfect for each other, blah blah blah, but, honestly, I'm starting to doubt it. I'm really not sure that the love is strong enough to overcome this - I'm not sure that BROOK is strong enough. She's right, Mikey can't spend his entire life looking out for her - she has to be able to do this for herself, and she's really not faring so well thus far.
I like how Mikey wants to protect her, how much he loves her - it's cute and it sort of makes me want to cry.
I also really liked the "spaghetti legs" comment. Nice imagery. :)
