Harry and KiKi: Tales of the Boy Necromancer

Now, I really like this story, the darker theme and all is fun, same for the sexing about, but I have some major issues also with the story. There is a saying when it comes to literature "Show, Don't Tell" something along those lines which usually mean less talking or thinking and more action, I have some major issue with the strange constant psycho-analysis done by the different characters either in the form of thinking or discussions with one another, there is a ungodly amount of babbling done in this story. Its maddening when you see the characters have those weird constant analysis of everything and everybody and in fashions which seem to be far too stretched, the speeches tend to be nearly in some scholarly language same for the thinking, while I have a hard time even enchanced 12-13 years old or even adults would constantly analyse life using such level of language in common thinking and speaking. While I like the story I have grown in time to a point where I skip over half the chapters because its just in many case constant analysis and re-analysis and re-re-analysis of the same stuff over and over with a slight modification to it with a added fact or two... Its mind numbing. Another point would be the lenght of the summer, it seem several chapters have already been written for a lenght of time which is seemingly at most a week, if the entire summer is done at that speed the HP Year 2 is going to be comming in this story in a few months, I mean unless expected this story to last for years yet in real life time to be written in equivalent of dozens of novels, maybe this should be shorten at some level. Mostly alot of the repetitive analysis could be remove and easily still keep the story going with nearly half the words per chapter. I mean seriously there is the Flamels than the Li to still see this summer and there is like 10 chapters for it wrotten already, and the wordcount is I think about a million words... a million and we are still about Book 1 / Year 1 in the story!!! I like the story but this story is going to burn out if it keep being so long and advance so slow. Ok I just looked officially, about maybe 33-34 chapters for what should be considered I think the first book, if we say Chapter 33 would be the equivalent of the end of the 1st HP Book, we have 12 Chapters wrotten at this time, which is roughly if you calculate 1/3 of the lenght in Chapters the year lasted, which SHOULD have been the lenght of the entire summer nearly, but we are not even 1/3 of the summer into it... Still in vacations with the Grangers, I believe by the summer end thhe summer will have outlasted the first year in its entirety EASILY. There should be some serious alteration to the speed this story develop or I foresee this story being finished if not abandonned somewhere along 2020 at the earliest, I saw this story was began in May 2009, its May 2011, so 2 years in real time and only the equivalent to 1 year in the story, which should technically be on 7 if its intended to last all the way to the end of Harry's time at Hogwarts... so mmm... 14 years in real time to write all of it... probably taking 7 million words which is like at least 21 large novels lenght... and it would be finished being written in about 2023... which is insane. So yea I like the story theme, but it must cut thru the tons of psycho-analysis done by characters either thru thinking or verbally, and move things faster, else this will be another unfinished story, because nobody could handle making 6 more millions words of material for this HP AU without goings either nutters or dropping the whole thing on the way when the mental sanity will start to break down from trying to accomplish such task. This is mostly already the longest FanFics I have ever seen and I am pretty sure that before long it will win that title uncontested, because at the rate of the development of the story, I mean unless you consider some Fics with several sequels, even than rarely with a few sequels I have seen a Fics which lasted overall for over a million words. Anyhow, whatever this review is taken in consideration or not, it not possible for me to say, only that while its a great fic, it got some major flaws which will burn out thru the most enduring readers sooner or later. It could be made much more fluid and be one of the best HP FanFics ever, but in its current form it is straining on the readers minds.
