Naruto put down his drumsticks and whipped the sweat from his face. He looked at Kakashi-sensei, who was the only one watching them. Due to his mask, it wasn’t obvious if he had liked it or if he simply hated it.

“So Kakashi-sensei, how did we do?” Sakura asked, getting off the stage and approaching him.

Kakashi looked at each member individually, from the blond drummer, to the green eyed guitarist and the pink head lead singer as well as the pale, dark eyed bassist. “I suggest you get another guitar player, but other than that I don’t see any problem with you guys,” he stated. “Oh and if you don’t mind, I want you to play in Konoha Academy for the Music Fest.”

“Really sensei?! That’s awesome!” Naruto hollered. “I can’t wait to see all those stupid people who didn’t believe I could make it watching me on stage!”

Kakashi smiled under his mask. “Don’t get too confident or you might mess up.”

Sakura smiled and placed her hand over Naruto. “Don’t listen to him, I’m sure you’ll do great,” she whispered in his ear. Sakura had turned very overprotective over Naruto. After all, he had suffered so much in the past; she never wanted to see that again. Naruto had finally regained his overconfident smile and nobody would wreck it, or else she’ll kill him.

“Well guys keep practicing,” Kakashi said and quickly disappeared.

“I hate when he does that,” Sakura complained.

Naruto smiled and looked at his other band mates. “Let’s get some ramen!” he motioned.

“Ramen again?” the dark eyes bassist asked.

“Yes you idiot, got any problem with that?!” Naruto threaten. He stood up so he could be at his level. He really wanted to kill him, that bastard.

“I was just asking,” he said and fake smiled.

“Whatever Sai,” Naruto said and walked away.

Sakura followed him. She knew Naruto was still having a hard time accepting Sai, even if it had been almost a year. “Naruto!” she called. The boy stopped walking and turned to look at her with a smile. “Wait up!”

“What’s up, Sakura?”

Sakura wrapped his arms around Naruto. “You still miss him, don’t you?” she asked.

A tear slid down Naruto’s cheek. “Is hard not to, I loved him.”

“Yes, I know you did.”

Naruto placed his head on her shoulder as he remembered everything. “I wish I knew were he was now."
