  Harry Potter: I don't believe in canon after fifth year. Any HP fanfic I write will disregard the last two books. Or disregard canon entirely. I like fics were Harry is strong, smart, and/or dark. Evil optional. I despise Harry/Ginny pairings. She looks like his mother for crying out loud. There is something wrong with that. I'm partial to Harry/Luna and Harry/Hermione. I don't much care if there is are het/slash/no pairings so long as the story is well written and Harry isn't a cringing, whining, weak-willed pussy. For my multi chap: I do realize that Harry has a very sophisticated vocabulary for an eight year old. The thing is, unlike in canon, harry is basically banished from the house during the day. He spends all that time either in school or in the library. Dudley still prevents him from having serious friends and so the only people he actually speaks with are adults. Also unlike canon, his teachers are encouraging him to do better and he is working toward getting away from the Dursley's. Harry won't be super powerful in this fic. He is starting earlier and he will be on a level power-wise with Dumbledore. He obviously won't have the same experience. What he does know he will use with ruthless efficency though. So no wandless boulder tossing when he's ten. Maybe at seventeen ;p
