  I write drabbles. Now, a drabble is a short piece of exactly one hundred words. It was a game played by the likes of Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein's Monster. Most of those I write are the results of seat-of-your-pants writing on YIM. The rules are simple: each player gives one word, then everyone writes a drabble using all the words. They are then posted on IM and eventually in our LJs and at There n Back and InstaDrabbles. The idea is to get as much in 100 words as possible. There are also double-drabbles of 200 words, and trebbles of 300, but the pure form requires 100. As it has become obvious, either not many understand this genre, or else just do not care enough to comment. From the ratings, most of mine were boring, but I have no idea why. Perhaps those reading just did not grasp the concept of drabbles, or maybe that of commenting. Either way, I take this as a valuable lesson learned. Thank you for reading, those who did, and commenting. Apparently some things should be posted on the more esoteric sites.
