In the courthouse at Chicago, Michael hates Mahone because he looks at Michael and seems to read his very soul. Michael realises this man is going to make things very difficult.
In the diner at Blanding, Michael hates Mahone because he killed Tweener and the kid may have been a snitch but he didn’t deserve to die. Michael decides it time he learnt more about his adversary.
In the warehouse at New Mexico, Michael hates Mahone because he’s locked in a cage and still manages to get the upper hand. Michael hopes that the mention of Panama is just a lucky guess.
In the desert north of Mexico, Michael hates Mahone because that was his father and even though their relationship was short lived, he’s still family. Michael finally understands the urge to kill.
In the tunnel at Albuquerque, Michael hates Mahone because he may be a bastard but damnit, Michael has issues and that’s another dead body on his conscience.
In the freighter at Chicago docks, Michael hates Mahone because Michael doesn’t need to see him to know that he’s the suited bastard behind Sara’s capture.
