I didn't really play golf, I just had this as a weapon....
I awoke startled by the security alarm going off. I heard swearing downstairs as I cautiously grabbed the golf club in the corner of my bedroom. The alarm stopped. I looked out the window, to see that it was raining again. I crept down the stairs to see who dared to try and break into my house, golf club in hand. I didn't really play golf, I just had this as a weapon. I saw a man with a hood up, messing with the alarm. It had stopped. I carefully snuck up behind him, and hit him in the back with the golf club. He cried out in pain as he fell to the floor, face down. He seemed kind of short. I just stood there for a good minute or two, wondering whether I should try and find out who it is.I pulled down the hood of his jacket to see that he wasn't a threat at all.
It was Frankie. And he was in tears.
I looked at him, confused for a moment. "Frankie?"
He opened his mouth to speak, but I had hit him so hard, that there was blood in his mouth."Oh my god, Frankie. I'm so sorry. I didn't know it was you and... I'm just so sorry." I hugged him and sat him up. "It's o-" he went into a coughing fit. "O-okay. I just g-got the wind k-knocked outta me, t-that's all."
"Frankie. I hit you WITH A GOLF CLUB. You have the right to be mad at me." I said.
"It's f-fine Gee." he coughed.
"What are you doing here, Frankie?" I asked as I led him into the kitchen to sit down. It wasn't the first time I'd hurt Frankie in a matter of two days.
"Well, I left my wallet here yesterday, and I didn't want to wake you-" he was cut off by another coughing fit.
"It's okay. I'm so sorry I hit you, Frankie. I thought you were some obsessor who found out where I lived... Again." I said. He smiled. In a matter of minutes, he was okay again. I made him a cup of coffee and just studied his every move. Not creepily, just curiously. He noticed and I looked away, blushing.
He laughed. "Gee, you SO remind me of a crazed fangirl when you're acting guilty." I was acting guilty? Guilty of what? Of hitting him with a golf club? Yes. But guilty of staring at him? I couldn't tell. I didn't FEEL guilty for staring at him, and I never felt awkward about it either. I loved looking at Frankie...Frank snapped his fingers in front of my face, repeatedly. "Hey! Stop daydreaming, Gee. You're freaking me out."
"Oh," I said, obviously taken back by the fact that he was freaked out. "Sorry, Frankie."
-7:24 pm. The Bar Down The Street From Ray's Place.-
I walked into the small, people-infested bar. The it smelled smokey, and it was hard to see due to the musty air. I looked around for a minute, until I found the guys sitting at a table. "Brace yourself Gee." I thought. "Don't do anything you'll regret." I walked over, and sat down at the chair that was empty. I was silent as Ray was laughing with Mikey about something I didn't catch.
Ray looked over and saw me. "Hey man! I heard you um-" he started cracking up, but was trying to stop. "Hit Frank with a golf club this morning. Over-react, much?" I became very harsh suddenly.
I looked at Ray, giving him a dirty look. "No."
He was silent for a moment before shouting, "Yo, Mario! Can we get four beers down here?" A guy nodded, and disappeared before showing up again. He put the alcohol on the table. "Now," Ray said, using his smart voice. "YOU, mister, need to seriously unwind." He pushed one in my direction. "Drink it."
"Uh, I don't know, Ray, I mean, I was gonna drive home..."
He raised one eyebrow. "You took a taxi, didn't you?"
"Yup." I muttered as I reached for the beer. I started to drink it, but then Mikey did this imitation of how I must've looked at the moment, and I started laughing. I had to stop drinking to prevent it from flying out my nose. Frank started laughing. I smiled.
"Why are you do uptight, big brother?" Mikey asked me.
"Me? I'm fine. In fact, you should be thanking me right now."
He cocked his head to the side. "For?"
"This." I said as I pulled the bottle of tequila from a paper bag that I had brought with me. A smile spread across Mikey's face. Of all the alcoholic drinks in the world, tequila was his favorite. This was the one that had tried to drink yesterday.
"Thank you, Gee!" he almost screamed. Only one person can take SO much Alicia nagging twenty-four seven.
A few people turned their heads before going back to their business. "Shhh!" I said as I put my hand over to Mikey's mouth, causing me to get licked on the hand by none other than my baby brother. I wiped it on his shirt, and he whined. "No raging fan-mobs, remember?" He nodded. I sighed and sank back into my chair. I started to drink again, this time, making sure Mikey wasn't making any faces this time.
"So, Gee," Ray asked. "Are you okay with alcohol now?"
I nodded. "Not gonna drink anything for the rest of the week." His jaw popped open, and I started laughing again.
It was going to be a long night.
