Coffee... Only coffee... thought Frank as he stared at his closet on Sunday. He pawed through his endless pairs of skinnies and work pants (some with suspicious stains). Eventually, he came across a clean pair of black skinny jeans and a Sum 41 tee. He brushed on some red eyeliner, grabbed his coat, and walked out to the subway. He stepped through the sliding doors and found a seat. He watched the lights fly by, thinking of the Way case.

As it turns out, Alexis had been taking care of her little sister. He was going to question her after his meeting with Gerard. Because he tecnically wasn't law enforcement, he could question the minor. He wasn't looking forward to it, he was never good at questioning people, no matter what Ray said.

Soon, Frank was at his stop. He exited, and went up the uncomfortably steep escalator to the street. He walked to the Starbucks to wait for Gerard.

Soon, he saw a man with longish black hair and skinnies similar to Frank's, and a Ministey tee. Frank didn't know anyone still listened to Ministry besides him anymore.

"So, um, a forensic anthro-what?" said Gerard when he had reached Frank. Frank laughed.

"Anthropoligist, yes." said Frank. "It's- well, let's go inside and get coffee first."

"Okay." Gerard responded a bit too cheerfully than normal. Someone was a fellow coffee addict.

They walked inside and ordered their coffee fix, then sat at a table near the back.

"Well, let me explain. I can add to a case by studying the bones of the deceased." said Frank. He though Gerard might freak out, consisting that meant he had handled his brother's bones, but on the contrary, he said:

"That's cool! So, can you tell how someone died from only bones?"

"Yes, from a number of things." said Frank. "but you don't want to hear me jibber jabber about ribs and skull fracters and grafts all day. So, what do you do?" Frank already knew of course, Gerard was an artist, but Frank wanted to make conversation without looking like a creeper who watches Gerard naked through his window, although that sounds like a good idea... Nope. Shut up, think of dying kitties, dying kitties, dying kitties!

"I'm an artist." Gerard said predictably. "I do some comics, and I paint a little."

"That's cool! Bet your clients are a bit more talkative, huh?" said Frank.

Gerard laughed, despite the utter corniness of the joke.

"I certainly hope so!" said Gerard. "So, you like Sum 41? They rock!"

"Yeah! I love those epic Canadians!" said Frank. "And Ministry is really cool too, I hardly know anyone who listens to them anymore!"

"I know right!" said Gerard. Then he blushed. "I sounded like a teenage girl, I'm such a fail, man."

"I have been there: I said 'OMG' at a job interview, and I was escorted out then and there."

"I remember when I was a teenager, I couldn't get a job because I was bi." said Gerard. Then he cheeks reddened all over again. "Your fine with that, right?"

Hell yeah Frank was fine with that!

"Yeah, actually, I'm bi too. But I didn't put it on my résumé. Easier to get a job that way. Homophobia sucks, my friend." Frank said. Then, his phone rang, blasting "St. Jimmy" into the empty coffee shop.

"hello?" Frank said into the reciever.

"Your late. Your suppost to be interviewing Jalyn, Alexis' little sister, for us." said Ray.

"Oh god, I'm on my way." said Frank.

"Ohhh, so your relationship between Gerard has gotten that far?" laughed Ray.

"Shut up. Be there in ten." said Frank, snapping the phone closed.

"Well, I have to go. See you later? Don't forget to call me if you have any grief problems." said Frank, reluctantly slipping from his chair. It had been his first normal conversation since the Way case started.

"Hi. What's your name?" I asked the girl, nine year old Jalyn Dirnt, sister of Alexis Dirnt.

"Jalyn." she said, twisting her dyed neon green hair.

"Ok Jalyn. Tell me, what do you and your sister do for fun?" Frank asked her, using one of the questions Ray said would warm her up to talking to him.

"Alexis takes me to the shooting range. My aim is perfect ." she said braggingly. "and so is Alexis'." she added as an after thought. Some useful information after all. Alexis was a good shot. He jotted this down. "I also wrestle." he noticed she was well built, as opposed to Mikey's lanky corpse.

"Do you remember meeting Mikey?" Frank asked, pushing a photo of the deceased at her.

"Oh yes. Once. I had to pretend to be Alicia's sister. Alicia is my sister's kisser." she said. That was blunt.

"Did you like him?" Frank asked.

"Not really. He kept Alicia from being with us all the time." then more quietly, she added, "Alexis said that if he wasn't here, she could stay and take care of me." So Alexis had motive: love triangle. This case was as good as wrapped up, in my mind.

"Well, goodbye Jalyn, it's been lovley speaking to you." I said, and left the room without an response.

"Dr. Iero!" said Mairia, purple hair bouncing behind her as she ran to catch up with me. "I need to show you something! About the Way case!" that stopped Frank in his tracks... Anything to help Gerard...

Last night Gerard had called him at three in the morning, crying. The lose of his brother laid heavily on his shoulders, and he was going to commit suicide. Frank had talked him through it, trying to reach the reasonable Gerard he'd met for coffee. It took a while, until 8:30 to be exact, but that Gerard had started to  make an appearance. But Frank was still scared. They were meeting at his house that afternoon.

"What is it Maria?" Frank asked.

"Let me show you." Maria said, guiding me to the room that held Mikey's bones, bleach white and gleaming.

"See the bullet wound? After a re-examination, the wound is slanted upwards slightly." she said. As if the killer was lying down, or-"

"Or very short." finished Frank.

"Like you?" Maria joked.

"No." said Frank. "Like a child." The killer had been caught.
