Angel from above
And you make the world go round with love girl
You are my angel from above
And there she was, my blue eyed angel given to me by God. There’s no denying I like her, even thought I’ve only talked to her twice. Amber’s perfect.
Together we walk down the hall, trying to find my brother and Frank. I really hope their okay, I feel terrible for leaving them. I…it was just too much to handle. I wouldn’t have been any help.
Eventually Amber spots a few drops of blood outside of the boy’s bathroom. She walks right in as if it’s no big deal. This girl really is different, but in no way is that bad.
There standing by the sinks is Gerard, a bloody paper towel to his head, wincing in pain, Frank who has paper towel up his nose, and this fucking huge dude who looks unharmed.
He is heavy set, and about as tall as Gerard. He has shaggy blonde hair and a beard; his eyes are bright blue, and intimidating. Yet, in them, you could see that he is only tough on the outside. I just stand there, looking at my brother, his best friend, and this new guy that looks like a hired bodyguard wondering what the fuck happened.
Amber breaks away from my grip, smiling at the blonde guy, “Thanks Bob…I’ve got it.”
The blonde guy, Bob, nods and walks out. I guess that’s the Bryar kid…from Amber’s adopted family.
Amber, she’s over with my brother, examining his wounds. I don’t know why but this bothers me. Seeing her long nails trail over his face, her concerned look for him and not me; gah, chill out Mikey.
“Gerard Way, I thought I told you to stay out of trouble,” Amber laughs, her fingers under my brother’s chin.
He smiles sheepishly, “I was trying to.”
She laughs, wiping away more blood with yet another paper towel. He’s really messed up.
“Ha,” Amber turns to me. “That cut doesn’t look like trying to stay out of trouble to me. What do you think Mikey?”
Her voice, that accent, the look in her eyes, they wash over me making it hard to breath. I’m such a sap. I’ve never been very good at talking to girls…well actually girls never talk to me so this is all new. I like it.
“I think my brother looks for trouble,” I joke, coming to stand behind Amber, my chin resting on her shoulder.
Gerard raises an eye brow at me but I shrug. I don’t feel like talking to him about feelings right now, especially ones I know he’ll make jokes about. Maybe I’ll be up for it later.
Amber moves from Gerard to Frank who has removed the paper towel from his nose and is just using his finger to wipe away the small trickle of blood. Frank refuses Amber’s help claiming that he is a man and will have no women tending to his battle wounds. Another failed attempt and Amber gives up.
“If everything is good here I’m going to go....” the red head says, slowly backing out of the bathroom. “See you around Mikey.”
I nod before turning back to my brother, despite the minor bump in the road I have a feeling today really will continue down the path of good.
