It's not that Aven can't find herself a man to love her; She's already got that sorted. It's getting that man to admit his love towards her.
So, it's been a while:L
I got requested to write PartyPoison a fic and I've made her wait about three weeks? Quite long which is why I haven't been updating. I really wanted her to enjoy it because she's very patient so I put a lot of time in it:3
Sorry if some parts of it are wrong and obviously parts of it is made up:)
Anyway, I hope you all like this so yeah, Enjoy:3
Aven sighs as she flicks through the Music channels. Yet again there is no good Tv shows on or any good music playing from what she's seen so far. Soon she reaches Kerrang! Tv. Not shocked at all, she sees that they're doing a special with My Chemical Romance. Rock's favourite new hottest band of the year. Aven rolls her eyes, she's seen the title too many times but since she has nothing better to do, so stays on the programme to watch her friends.
Gerard's talking at first. Fucking shocker there. He's got a mouth that could literally speak for the whole world. It's like he feels the need to talk, and talk and talk. She's surprised he hasn't been told to shut his pie hole before. She can't last ten minutes without getting a headache from the random shit that spills out his mouth, she has no idea how everyone else can deal with it. The view leads to Frank, who's grinning as he talks about Jamia and their wedding plans in a couple of months. Aven feels a little bit of sadness I her stomach. She knows it's jealousy and stupidity but sometimes she wishes she could look that excited.
It's not that Aven can't find herself a man to love her; She's already got that sorted. It's getting that man to admit his love towards her. Both of them know they're each others world. They just simply can't live without each other. It's whether he wants to make such a massive commitment to Aven which worries them both.
Mikey is adorable. He's quiet at first, acting like a shy little girl. Once you get to know him though he's just as sassy as his brother.
Aven had first met him at a bar. She was twenty at the time visiting her cousin at the weekend in the opposite side of New Jersey and guilt tripped into going to see some band. At first she was a little hesitant, she's not the pop sort of girl but she's never been into some deep hardcore metal either. She likes it to be meaningful and understandable; lyrics that can speak to the listener. She accepted anyway, curious to see what type of people would be there. She had expected to see punk rock assholes with mohawks, facial peircings, tattoos that covered something like seventy percent of their body with heavy make-up on everyone. Fair enough, she could admit it was a little stereotypical of her and she had ever actually been someone to judge but she had no idea what to expect so she tried to prepare herself.
The first band had a little to much screaming for her liking. She was shocked to see the majority of the people in the place were dressed quite casually. Girls dressed in jeans with tank tops while men wore jeans with T-shirts on. They didn't look like outcasts or weird people, they looked like they were having fun by doing the things they loved. She could respect that.
The second band were called My Chemical Romance. She can remember exactly how they climbed onto the stage and let Gerard take the mike.
“We're My Chemical Romance”
Que the loud applause from fans.
“We're here to show you what a real fuckin' good time you can have with us!”
Que even louder applause.
“Are you ready? 'cause it's gonna get fucki-”
Aven had had enough of his rambling and shouted a loud ''SHUT THE FUCK UP ANG GET ON WITH IT”
Gerard had not been too happy. He looked like he could kill her for interrupting his little speech he probably had prepared three seconds before they got the stage but this was a club for live local bands. Not annoying little speeches that nobody gave a shit about. Soon enough though, the guitarist started playing forcing Gerard to use his voice for singing, not talking crap. The songs were good, interesting at least. They were a lot better than she had expected; even the singer was doing his job well.
She looked closely at all of the band members. The Singer had brownish hair, a slim figure with a sort of vampire look to him. She didn't know if it was the lighting or not but it wouldn't matter. One of the guitarist was short, like, really short. He's pretty though; defiantly got a few tattoos on him no matter how much his sleeved top tries to cover them up. The other guitarist has a 'fro which actually sort of suits him. He's a little more broad shouldered compared to everyone else but he's defiantly pretty like them. The drummer is odd to see, since he's behind the drums and the singers fucking blocking her view like it's his job to piss her off. The one she pays most of her attention to though is the very thin one who's playing bass. He's got glasses from what she can make out and he's very slow when moving around the stage. It's like he wants to be here, but doesn't know what to do. She feels a little sorry for him, but then the short one goes to play nearer to him and he's looking a little more confident so it's all okay.
They play around eight songs, she doesn't really pay much attention though. Half way through their performance she just orders a drink and stares at it. Her cousin had disappeared with some girl who was probably lending her a lighter for a cigarette. She was just zoned out after a while, not hearing or seeing anything other than her glass of alcohol. She couldn't even be bothered with the brand name. When she felt a hand on her shoulder she panicked. Her thoughts had come rushing through her mind, heart jumping at the sudden contact. The boy who was tapping her looked a little concerned at her response, he hadn't meant to hurt her.
“Shit sorry” he apologized quickly, afraid of blowing his option to complete his mission.
The girl looked at his face, it was cute but manly. Worried too.
“No no, it's fine. Sorry” she breathed embarrassed at her overreaction.
The boy nodded, seemingly thinking of something before speaking.
“Care to join us?”
At first Aven's a little confused. Who's us? She can only see the guy in front of her. Then he moves towards the left a little to reveal the whole My Chemical Romance band behind him waiting for them. She doesn't know what to do other than shrug and reply with a smooth “Sure”. They make their way over to the other guys and Aven takes a seat next to the boy with glasses, the one who's currently staring at her like she's a fallen star blinding him.
The first one to introduce themselves is Frank – the one who asked her to join them. She smiles politely and shakes his hand – he's a nice person. The next one is Ray, he's cool. Quite a funny person who makes a lot of jokes. Gerard is apparently the name of the singer. He's still quite pissed off that he was interrupted but Aven doesn't care. They do start talking nicely after a while anyway. Gerard can sometimes get carried away when he's excited - obviously – and Aven think he's an okay guy. Mikey is the last one she introduced to – since the drummer has dissapeard. He's shy when she tries to shake his hand but eventually he accepts it and starts smiling. He's quite interestig really, Funny and smart. When he mentios that he's Gerard's brother she spits her drink over everyone. She'd never have guessed. Like, ever.
They're all nice people, really quite funny when she gets to know them all a little more than a group of boys in a band. She had a really fun time with them, even her cousin was shocked to meet them but they ended up having a lot to talk about. When it was time for her to go they all seemed rather upset – Especially Mikey. He had came out of his shell during the night and practically begged her not to go. Feeling guilty, she gave him his number and told him to call her whenever. She didn't really care; he'd probably never actually call her again and even if he did it wouldn't be such a bad thing to see him again.
It wasn't that long until Mikey called again. He sounded really nervous like when she first said hello.
“Um.. hey... um...so how.. are you?”
At first Aven nearly laughed. What had happened to the confident guy she had met a few days ago? He was replaced with that shy little boy who was on the phone. After getting past the stuttering of words they had agreed to meet up again – with the others as well- The next Saturday so they could hang out a little more. For the first time, Aven had actually felt excited. She had something interesting to do, something cool to look forward to. She liked the guys – as much Gerard seemed to be annoying he was incredibly interesting just like his brother.
The days had come quick, Mikey had been phoning Aven on a Friday just to make sure their plans were still on. At first she was confused on to why he was worrying so much about being stood up but then she just forgot about it. This weekend was meant to be fun, so she would have fun. She started her car and set off on her journey. She had decided to invite Megan – her cousin- to join in since she was a massive fan of them. They had all met at the car park. She quickly parked the car and they made their way to the guys who was talking to a young girl. Aven had smiled, offered her hand to the girl who only scowled. Aven hadn't really realised what she had done wrong, then Gerard whispered something into the girls ear and the girls face just lit up, a grin covering everything it could.
“Lindsey” the girl smiled, accepting Avens hand eagerly.
“Nice to meet you, but um.. what was that about?”. It's not that Aven cares if people don't like her, but at least have a good reason.
“She gets jealous” Gerard smirked, flipping Lindsey hair.
“Shut up asshole” She huffs, crossing her arms and stepping away from the boy. Instead of letting her, Gerard grabs her elbow and pulls the girl so she's against his chest. Lindseys still looking pissed off but Gerard's whispering things into her ear which Aven isn't really sure whether she wants to know what he's saying or not. Lindsey rolls her eyes and cuddles back into the singer, smiling as Gerard pecks her lips. oh.
“Sorry,” Lindey apologizes “Sometimes I get a little protective of him when I see other girls that look pretty. People try to take him away from me all the time so I gotta keep my guard up” she frowns.
Aven can instantly tell she's had a hard time. It has to be hard being around tons of girls who are much prettier and want your boyfriend. She's probably got a lot of shit too. Every girlfriend does.
“Oh god” Aven snorts, laughing as she realised that Lindsey thought she'd try to steal Gerard. Jesus, she'd much rather date a fifty year old man before the singer – and that'd never happen. “Don't worry there lindsey, I'm not after Gerard” she smiles watching Lindsey grin in response.
After talking to each other for a while they decide to go inside and do some window shopping. At first it's some shitty clothes shop that most girls who like to show their legs off go shopping. Lindsey and Aven stands outside the changing rooms while the guys and Megan are trying on some clothes they just randomly found.
“So how did you meet them?” Lindsey asks, shoving her hands in the pockets of her jeans.
“At some gig last week” Aven replies, shrugging her shoulders like it's no big deal.
“Really? That's strange they never stay behind unle-” Lindsey stops half way through her sentence when her face changes. Aven instantly recognises that the girl has realised something. Something Aven hasn't.
“What?” she asks, trying not to sound a little scared or desperate. She doesn't manage to mask her fear.
“Nothing nothing... just. Welcome to the group” Lindsey smiles, biting her lip and shaking her head. She knows something. It's what that confuses Aven.
The boys come out of the changing room and all of them are wearing something different. Gerard's wearing some red and black striped top with blue jeans. Lindsey’s looking impressed. Frank has a black top with 'fuck you' in big white letters with red skinny jeans. Ray is just wearing a white t-shirt. Aven immediate attention travels to Mikey though. The top he's wearing is black, really showing of his skinny figure with white skinny jeans clinging to his bones like their trying to merge together and become one. He looks good. Real good.
“What do you think?” he asks Aven, who realises that everyone has just seen her stare at Mikey.
“It looks good” She blushes, then giving him the thumbs up resulting in a very happy Mikey. He buys the clothes – as does everyone else- and they carry on for a few more hours until they get hungry. Immediately Gerard suggests the food court which was probably one of the only good things to come out of his mouth.
Aven can't pay for her meal, she lost her money and now she hasn't even got enough to buy some ketchupt for anyone. Mikey decides to step in, he announces that he'll buy her the food and that it's no hassle, seriously. Aven's a little embarrassed, she feels so guilty for taking Mikey money for herself but he just insists that he wouldn't offer if he didn't want to. Aven just thanks him, giving the biggest hug she could give him. Unfortunately he hasn't got enough for two drinks so they just share – because everybody else are tight ass bitches who wont give up some of their money for a friend. They finish their food and start to walk off again. The band are even recognised by a few strangers who look like their the most happiest people you could get. Aven notices how Gerard gets most of the attenion, and how Lindsey is just powerless as Gerard is dragged into their arms. He looks quite uncomfortable, continually trying to look at Lindsey to make sure she's okay. Then they go to Frank who isn't as easy to grab but they still get photos. Mikey and Ray are left so they go nuts and drag the two boys into a hug. Lindsey has been reunited with Gerard who holds her close while Frank watches Mikey and Ray being smothered by the girls. They look slightly uncomfortable yet extremely happy that their being noticed for their skills.
The day goes quick, everybody saying goodbye and returning to their homes. Everybody had fun hanging around with everyone and just enjoying each others company. They all make sure to see each other soon and make arrangements.
Mikey calls her everyday after that, just say say a little hello and ask how she was doing. Aven is really liking the phone calls from Mikey, he's sweet and caring for her and loves to listen to the shirt that spews from her mouth. Mikey likes to talk too, it doesn't matter what; Aven just likes to listen to him ramble on about things she'd probably never have cared for if Mikey hadn't of mentioned it. They talk a lot, a least three times a day and then text each other for the rest of the time. Aven is starting to really like him.
The next time they go out is at one of the bands gigs. This time Lindsey tags along and they all go backstage to talk to some of the other guys. Ave seems to just kind of stick to Mikey. He's the only one who doesn't really leave her alone so they can talk to other people. He's nice. At first he's quiet like always but then he really gets talking. Aven has found out that he has some sort of obsession with sushi and really enjoys comics. He tries to show Aven how to play his part in demolition lovers but she has no idea what to do and she's really impressed with him. She couldn't play like that to save her life. Mikey was like some freaking expert. She sometimes wishes she could have his skill, but she's content with just watching him. They loose track of time and then Mikey has to be out on stage. He says a quick goodbye to Aven ad follows the others towards the stage. Lindsey takes a seat next to Aven and smiles.
“So you and Mikey are getting on well”
“He's awesome” Aven smiles, settling back into the old couch their sitting on while listening to the band set up.
“Mmmhmm.... he's a lot more confident around you. Talks a lot more when you're near”
“Yeah,” Lindsey pauses, clicking her tongue in thought. “It's good, new. We all like it when Mikey act more like he's part of our team than just somebody who's there ya'know?”
“Yeah, he was really shy at first” Aven frowns.
“He always is. Guess most of it is the fact he lives in Gerard's shadow. Expected to look as pretty, be as talented, talk more easily but people just can't seem to grip on the fact that he's not his brother. Mikey just sorta, gave up trying to be heard. All of the fans mostly pay attention to Gee. You on the other hand, you help him a lot. He's much more happier. He knows you don't want him to be like Gerard and he's never really had someone like that. He appreciates it. A lot.”
“Oh.” is all Aven can say, she didn't know she had helped that much.
The boys all come back with smiles of their faces. The show kicked ass and they all looked as if they had been drenched in water. Everybody is panting hard from jumping around so much – even Mikey who's under Gerard's arm. Lindsey kisses her boyfriend while everybody else goes to get a drink. Aven goes to talk to Mikey.
“Good show?” she asks, stealing the boys attention.
“Brilliant” he grins, uncapping the top and gushing down the water.
A Few months later and they've all gotten extremely close. Mikey and Aven start to talk a lot more and every weekend Aven is travelling to the opposite side of New Jersey to visit the guys. They've all decided to go out for a drink. Aven finally meets the Jamia Frank always boasts about and instantly takes a liking. She's nice, pretty and they make an adorable couple. So they go to a bar – not the usual one they play gigs at- where Gerard pays for the round of drinks. Everybody has somethig expect for Mikey who's driving them all home and Aven who just prefers to watch drunk people instead of being the drunk person. It's quite obvious that Lindsey and Gerard have done this often enough. Aven can remember the stories of how they both went to the same collage and had a lot of drinking games with each other (As everyone else in collage). Frank seemed to be doing quite well and Jamia was just getting tipsy. Ray and Megan were hesitant at first and then got into the spirit of things. They ended up getting a lot happier.
A couple more rounds and everybody was smashed, mumbling around shit that nobody cared about. Gerard and Lindsey were making out on a chair while Ray and Megan were dancing in some weird way with Jamia and Frank. Mikey was getting the round of drinks when Frank made his way to Aven.
“Heeeey” The boy smiled, looking at Aven.
“Hey Frank” she smiled back, a little unsure what he was about to do.
“You havin' fun with Mike?” he asks.
“Yeah” She replies.
“youknow like put cha mouth togetha n' smooch” he shrugs, looking at her seriously. She doesn't know if this is a game or if this is serious.
“He likes cha. Real bad” Frank slurs, looking around to see the taller boy headed towards him.
Mikey gives Frank the bottle and the others then takes a seat next to Aven again, ready to watch as they start dancing to some song the speakers are blasting out.
“What did he say then?” Mikey asks, looking into her eyes.
Aven is unsure for a moment. What if it's true? She wouldn't mind being with him but it'd be strange. She's seen Lindsey being pushed away from her boyfriend; She wouldn't know how to react if she got so close to become jealous of girls grabbing his attention. It's already happening but their friends, if she were his girlfriend then there would be a reason and it'd feel even worse. What if he didn't like her? What if Frank was too drunk to know what he was actually saying? She'd feel like an idiot. She'd still like to know though. Just to kill her curiosity.
“He said you liked me” she replied, not bothering to move. She saw him tense under her gaze.
“Is it true?”
Mikey's gone completely still, trembling slightly and eyes closed. Aven know what the answer is now, she can't believe that he hid it from her.
She moved slowly, not trying to scare the boy. All of her responsible thoughts were gone when she leant forward. Their lips touched lightly, feeling strange as they pressed against each others. There were no fireworks, no bells, none of that cliché shit. It was just lips against lips. Quickly Mikey pushed back, leaning into her touch. It felt strange, but so right. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. This was everything he ever wanted, and it was happening.
When they heard Frank whistle, they pulled back. Embarrassed and slightly shocked at what they had done together. Neither of them were upset with their actions, in fact both of them had enjoyed it. That was the night they had become a couple. It was weird for Aven; she had never pictured herself with Mikey at all before but now it was happening. And she was looking forward to it.
At first it was weird. They could hold hands, kiss each other and spend time alone like every other couple. Mikey would often sneak little butterfly kisses on her neck when she wasn't look which would just make her giggle and attack his lips automatically. It felt good being able to spend time with Mikey like this. She loved being able to touch him, being able to say that he was hers. She loved loving him, being able to make him feel happy while he did the same to her. At time jealously sparked up in her when other girls would flirt with him but he'd always pull her close so they'd know that he's taken and he's happy with that. They have a lot of dates, dinner dates or just nights in. She loved being able to spend time with Mikey, but now she feels closer to him and they treat each other like nobody else matters in the world.
Of course, everybody else is happy for them. Especially Lindsey who tells Aven loads of embarrassing stories of both Mikey and Gerard's childhood. Although Aven would never use them against Mikey because he's too lovely to bully, she certainly picks on Gerard.
It's been six months when Aven and Mikey take the next step in their relationship. It's thunderstorm and lighting outside of Mikey's apartment when they declare their love for each other. It starts off slow, cuddles near the fireplace while watching Television. The TV ends up getting boring so they turn it off. Mikey starts nipping at her ear, causing Aven to feel quite happy. He starts running his hands over her body then just stops at her top button. Aven doesn't notice at first; she's to focused on the feeling of Mikey's lips against her neck. Then all of a sudden she feels his hands on her breasts and that's when she notices that he must have some skill because she didn't even realise until it was off. He starts teasing her, playing around then pulling off her top and moving towards her jeans.
It's slow, sweet and passionate. Aven guessed he had been planning it since he was prepared. He took care of her; she had never have thought Mikey would be so confident in bed but he was. He did everything right and more. She and Mikey had finally showed how much they loved each other.
It was a few weeks after that when Mikey asked her to move in with her. Of course she said yes, she loved the idea of seeing Mikey without having to travel on the bus. She wanted to be able to sleep in a bed wrapped with Mikey around her. She needed it.
She got the guys to help her move and they finally made the place a home. She cooked their breakfasts and made him coffee in the morning; she new how much he liked his coffee.
It wasn't a surprise when My Chemical Romance had made their first album. They had been doing really well and gotten a lot more of a fan base than they use to have. The band turned out to be a massive success, even hitting the UK and becoming a number one In their charts. They had replaced Matt with a new drummer called Bob who instantly became a member of the family. Mikey had been so pleased and celebrated with a massive group dinner. They were being recognised more and although that caused more girls to see Mikey's good looks and chase after him, Aven was proud. They were doing so well, finally their talent had results.
The relationship was starting to struggle though. Without Mikey, Aven felt lonely. He was always touring and being called to interviews and sometimes it made her feel like she was second best. It felt like Mikey was more interested in his fame than her. She knew it wasn't true, he'd send her texts all the time and express how much he loved her when asked questions about her in interviews. They'd always hug for hours when he got home, but in the morning he'd have to leave again.
Gerard started losing control during their tours. He starts taking drugs and his drinking problem starts growing. Aven hurts knowing that Mikey has to watch his brother hurt himself so bad. He cries at night when he's on the phone to Aven and she feels useless. She isn't there, she can't help him and she hates hearing Mikey cry. She knows they sometimes they have a good day and both of the brothers are feeling good but then at times everything just goes down the sink and all hell breaks loose. Gerard is depressed, so close to giving up everything which obviously effects Lindsey. She has a band of her own but cancelled so many tours to try and talk to Gerard on the interenet. He's never sober enough to care.
Aven tries to calm Lindsey's tears. It's tearing both of them apart.
At first when the tour ends, Gerard continues taking the pills and becomes even worse. Mikey can't stand watching his brother and band being destroyed. Aven has to watch as Mikey becomes even worse. Soon, Mikey's depressed with hardly anything to hold on. She tries to keep on track as does everybody else but it just doesn't seem to help. They're breaking, slowly but surely.
Eventually after a few years Gerard finally cracks down on his problem. He realises how much he's hurting his family, his friends and the fans. They hate to see him like this just like everybody else. Gerard checks into rehab determined get restart and set things right. They make an album too. It's probably one of the hardest ones since such events are taking place. Frank was Ill and Gerard was struggling with giving up everything that had conquered his life for the past few years but getting there. Mikey was also building himself up – with all of Avens support of course. They had grown even closer since they had years without tours interrupting them. Aven watched proudly as Mikey found his bass and started playing with even more passion than he use to. Her Mikey was coming back. And strong.
Everybody had all gotten better; it had taken a lot of work but they managed it. Gerard gave everything up, Frank was better while Mikey was feeling better than ever. They had gotten through all of the hard emotional pain and tough work and finally got back to their original personalities. Everyone was proud. Especially Ray and Bob. It was Ray and Bob who had to tour with the guys and look after them. It was him who everyone owed their thanks to. He had worked twice as hard as anybody and deserved to be thanked. They all gave Ray and Bob a massive thanks as made a list of why they love the guys. they had laughed at that but loved it anyway.
Soon after the album was completed they had released it with incredible results. The fan base grew even wider, loving the new era and being able to relate to the music. Aven loved to watch as Mikey would play on stage, loving the band and the fans but it left her in the situation she was in now.
She was alone once again.
The guys had been on tour on and off now and even though they were due home soon, Aven was still pretty upset. It hadn't mean to be like this. Frank had proposed to Jamia just before they went on tour causing so much jealously to spark up. Frank was younger than her, Jamia was younger than her. She should have been married first. She should be having kids by now – she's been with Mikey for over seven years now. She knows he loves her, he knows she loves him. She's always patient with him but now she's feeling terrible. He's twenty seven and she's twenty six. They're not getting any younger and she's craving to have little babies in her arms or on her hips. She wants Mikey to be her husband and the father to her kids. She can't say anything though because Mikey gets freaked out with anything like that and she doesn't want to scare him away after going through so much with him.
She turns off the TV and looks around the room.
Aven can't help it. She finds herself on the internet and stumbles onto a wedding dress site. There are loads of dresses she sees; black, big, short, ball gown but then she sees it. It's the one. It's long, and would show off her slim figure really well. The sleeves are lace with a flowery pattern that would cover her arms. The tail is also lace, not too long but long enough for her. The detail is so beautiful, so stunning and Aven just falls in love. She needs the wedding to come soon. Then she realises she isn't even engaged which puts a downer on her happiness.
Aven is surprised when she gets a call from Mikey. He hardly has any time to call her since they're Sleeping or preforming.
“Hello?” she asks, confused and tired from just waking up.
“Awww, sorry baby did I wake you up?” he asks, that innocent guilt full voice sinking into her ears.
“No no, I'm okay. How are you honey?” she replies, moving around so she's sitting up in bed.
“Good. I'm fine baby. Listen babe, there's something I need you to do for me”
“Go and rent a suit for Frank”
“Why, the wedding isn't until next year?” she frowns.
“Frank's going to surprise Jamia, they're getting married next week.”
That's when Aven flips. She should be getting married next week. Not Jamia and Frank who are younger than her. No.
It isn't on purpose when she starts crying. Mikey immediately asks her what's wrong. Why is she so upset? He doesn't understand. Of course he wouldn't, he couldn't read hints if you threw them at his face – which is exactly what Aven's been trying to do. She doesn't answer, just tells him it'll be done and then hangs up without any warning. She feels pathetic. The man she's loved for seven years will never propose to her. She'll become an old woman with no husband to be proud of. Just a boyfriend who never wanted to be more.
Aven gets the suit just in time. The boys arrive home on a Thursday which leaves them two days for the wedding. Turns out that Frank was too excited to wait; he wanted the wedding now and made the same arrangement for a earlier date. He had thanked Aven for helping him out, Lindsey was still on tour and would be arriving on the day. Jamia had no idea they had returned home. The plan was to get everything ready, take Jamia out for one last fitting in the church so she could get the feeling and then she'd realise what was happening. Aven knew she'd love it. Jamia had phoned her up everyday explaining how excited she was and how much she just wanted the day to come. The guys had already had Franks stag do. It sounded fun although she wasn't too pleased that Mikey had ended up on the street.
Gerard and Bob would be sharing the spare room with two single beds while Frank was in the luxury guest room with the double bed. Mikey and Aven were laying down in their bed when he tried to pull her closer. She had tried to move and pull away but when Mikey wanted to be strong he could. He pulled the girl into his arms and kissed her roughly, obviously wanting something from her that involved a lot more touching. He kissed her gently, moving to her jaw then neck. Slowly reaching for her chest and running his hand over her thigh. That was when she moved away. She couldn't do this; yes she craved the touch as much as he did but she couldn't help but feeling like she was being used. Like she was there to look after the house and give him pleasure while he was away. It wasn't like that, she knew she was overreacting but sometimes she needed to be assured like every other girl. Mikey was never there to make her feel like their relationship was secure.
“What's wrong?” he frowned, disappointed with the lack of touching because Aven was wrapping the night gown over herself. She didn't reply, just simply shook her head and apologized.
“What for?” Mikey asked,
“Why? What have you done?” Mikey asked confused. Why couldn't she? What had she done to make herself stay away from him?
Aven is pissed. She hadn't done anything except dream about becoming a bride all day and waiting for her boyfriend to come home. She has to sit there and watch as millions of good looking girls throw themselves at her boyfriend. He could have any of them yet stays with her. Why couldn't he make it completely official?
“What have I done? WHAT HAVE I DONE? IT'S WHAT YOU HAVEN'T DONE.” She shouts not even realising that she had raised her voice. A knock is at the door and they turn around to see Frank who's looking tired but confused.
“Just dandy,” Aven replied “We're swapping rooms” She mumbles, pushing Frank into the room next to the bed and finding herself in the other room.
The next two days are awkward.
Aven doesn't talk to Mikey for as long as she can. She doesn't want to hear his excuses or questions; she just wants the wedding day to go smoothly so she can go back to being the girlfriend who will never marry. She can see that Mikey tries hard. She doesn't know if he has caught on about why she's feeling so upset but she doesn't want to find out. She can't handle him at the moment. Gerard tries to talk to her; tell her that it's not Mikey's fault he hasn't proposed. He just isn't like the others. Aven knows it's true but everyone who has been in a long term relationship is either engaged or married. Except her. She read an article about it once; they said that she'd never become a Mrs. Way. They wrote about how her and Mikey should have already past that part and being having adorable little children already but Mikey just can't find a way to dump her. Aven doesn't want to leave Mikey, but she doesn't want to be the bridesmaid forever.
She ignores everyone’s begging until Saturday where she says hello to Mikey and gives him a coffee and that's it. Nothing else is said until she says goodbye to Mikey so she can go fetch Jamia. She leaves after seeing Frank and everybody else in their suits. She'd like to see Mikey to be in the grooms suit at some point.
She finally meets Jamia who's waiting at the store. They share a few hugs and get set onto business. First is the dress is on, it's sort of like a corset top with a bottom that goes out and has some material that hangs off the end and stops just before her ankles. It looks incredibly beautiful on her and is the perfect fit. She has a little white coat over her shoulders and arms. Her shoes have a little heel on with straps that travel up her leg. Her hair is straightened while a very natural make-up selection is applied. Jamia likes to keep it nice and neat. The wedding veil is placed into her hair. It's not big and it's a medium length but it suits the whole outfit.
“I love it” Jamia grins, looking excited but exhausted from waiting for so long. She still has a while from what she knows. Aven puts on her dress and applies her make-up and then turns back to the bride.
“I want to do something” Aven smiles, pulling the girl into the car even though she's trying to pull back. Aven puts a blind fold over her eyes and assures her she'll be fine. That she'll love what happens next.
It isn't long until Jamia realises what is happening. Lindsey is waiting for them at on the curb two streets away. She's looking excited and happy so glad that she could make it in time. Jamia is shocked and yet so ready. She wants it to happen as soon as possible. She doesn't even care this is coming like six months before it should be. She wants it now and she's ready for it.
Aven watches as the bride walks down the aisle looking so happy and excited. Frank is nervous - that's for sure- and Mikey keeps his eye on his eye on Aven. He looks like he's up to something. Aven knows that look, most of the time it means no good.
The bride and groom speak their vows and kiss. Avens crying because they really do deserve each other.
Once everyone leaves the church they take a few photos for the photographer and then sets off to the after party. Aven is placed Near Mikey who sits next to Lindsey and Gerard. He tries to talk to her but she tells him to be quiet. This isn't the time; they're giving speeches and at the moment Frank is describing how perfect Jamia is for him. Aven just wants to cry. They're so perfect for each other and she's so glad they're made it.
It's when everybody eats and starts dancing she apologizes to Mikey for her behaviour. She didn't want to be so upset and was just overreacting. Mikey had accepted and decided they should dance. Aven had kept it a secret as to why she was upset but she smiled and danced with him anyway.
An hour later Mikey led her out to the garden of the building they were in. Aven had no idea what was happening but she didn’t mind, she had had fun tonight.
Mikey took her to a rose bush, plucked one of the flowers that had no thorns and gave it to her with a smile.
“My dear Ave. I met you seven years ago, and what a long time period it has been. I think it's time I show you how much you mean to me.
You see, at first I had no idea why you were so upset. I was mostly pissed that I had to share a bed with Frank but then he explained to me. You have been waiting for this day for so long. So eager to be the bride and I had never even thought about it.
It clicked in my mind that you was upset that younger woman were having weddings before you and that you wanted us to become more than just my girlfriend. I Can't go back in time, but Aven,”
He gets down on one knee, so nervous and shaky but manages to pull out a little box.
“Would you do the honour of becoming my wife?”
Aven is shocked, all words that would form in her mouth dissolved. It takes a few minutes to sink I before finally she squeals.
They both end up in a hug that could nearly break every single bone in Mikey's fragile little body but he smiles. He'd never see n her so happy.
When they walked into the building, Aven found Frank and gave him the biggest hug ever for making Mikey realise all she ever wanted was to become Mikey's bride.
Frank's happy. Although Aven doesn't tell Jamia or anybody else so she doesn't take the spotlight she's excited.
The next day she announces that she's engaged. To Mikey.
Everyone congratulates her and Finally Aven's happy.
She's finally marrying her one and true love. Mikey way
