He said it's never really dark when it rains
it's just the clouds are interrupting the day
the sun is patient, it will certainly wait
so drink this up and it will take your troubles away

I said I won't grow up if I get to choose
if it's like that then I will certainly lose
catch my own eye through the camera lens
that's just what you get if you don't fuck all your friends

Might just be me but is that building a-flame?
I hear them screaming and they're screaming my name
there must be someone left inside to be saved
but sorry I don't know them so it's really a shame

I paint faces on the walls of my home
they're all friendly so I don't feel alone
maybe I'd feel good by a day in the sun
at least if I stay locked up I won't hurt anyone

I wan't a bike I'm sick and tired of cars
throwing molotovs and blazing up bars
and all I've managed is a dent in the wall
I think I might be best of just plain quitting it all
