Me and the llama must have been moving for hours as the sky was becoming a lot darker and I was slowly growing more tired. I was just at the point of closing my eyes and falling asleep when the llama stopped. It was still light enough for me to see that we had stopped by a river. At the mouth of the river was a steep rock wall with a waterfall running down it. I jumped off the llamas back and realised that this was where my rock climbing training would come in handy.

I took the fingerless gloves out of the backpack and slid them onto my hands. The rockwall was steep but it was in no way flat and there was plenty of places I could hold onto as I climbed further and further. The wall wasn't as high as I expected it to be and soon reached the top and sat down breathless. I looked over the rocky ledge and could see the llama was walking away. Well there wasn't exactly much point in it staying was there? I placed my rucksack on the area of rock that was the flattest and decided to keep that place as my bed for the night.

But before I could sleep I realised I hadn't even touched my water even though my throat was burning from how dry it was. A couple of sips and then I closed the lid as tight as it would go, that way I wouldn't lose any water. I lay down, my head resting on my backpack, and looked up at the sky. It was nearing midnight I guessed, when I sat upright as I heard 6 loud cannons going off. The sky then showed projections of some of the tributes. It was the tributes that had died.

Jasmine's face appeared in the projection, the one from Ditrict 2, she was one of the girls that had gotten hit by a cake cannon. From District 3, Danielle. I hadn't noticed how she had died, but it was most likely at the start of the Games. Then there was Sara from District 4, the orange girl who ignored what Dan said and left her platform before she was meant to. Lara had killed Amina and Miyu from Districts 5 and 6. Krsyti from District 6 was last to appear on the projection. She was the other girl who died from the cake cannons.

That was 6 tributes dead out of 24. That meant I had another 17 tributes to get rid of before I could get engaged to Dan. But I could think about that in the morning after I had gotten some sleep. I took a couple more slips of water before resting my head down on my bag. Sleep came to me surprisingly easy.

Elen's POV
I woke and found my head resting on Phil's bare chest as he watched the Howell Games on live in tv. It was quite early in the morning as the screen showed the arena showed only glimpses of the sun rising through the trees. I sat up slightly and Phil wrapped one arm around me, planting a small kiss on my forehead.

"Morning beautiful" he whispered.

"Morning to you too" I sighed. " I missed anything exciting?"

"Not much." I said his lips still against my head, his breath warm against my skin. "That Lara girl has been showing off her sword by stabbing practically every tree within her sight."

"Any updates on Devon" I asked. After I had talked with all the tributes, I still knew that I wanted Devon to win.

"Well, I think she's still asleep on the rock wall by the waterfa-" Phil suddenly sat up and leaned towards the tv.

"What is it?" Growing slightly worried.

"Its the other Jasmine, the one from District 10. She's getting closer to Devon."

I looked at the screen to see that what Phil said was true. Jasmine wasn't too far from the waterfall and Devon was still asleep.
