Paper-Thin Angel

Light watched L sleep…

It was a simple, loving gesture. Light enjoyed seeing the older male get some rest. It gave Light his own naturally concerned and caring heart its own rest.

To see those dark bags under the wide-eyes of the dark-haired male lighten, if only slightly. To see his thin fingers still as he slept, just barely brushing against the rough material of his ratty old jeans as they rested at his side and across his waist…

How L’s thin, strong legs were pulled away from his chest, finally relaxing as they sprawled out in front of him on the couch. It was an odd position for him, but nice all the same.

The one thing that remained normal, however, was that L didn’t wear any socks or shoes.

Light chuckled softly. Typical L. He’d probably rather walk on glass than in socks and shoes.

Light would watch as the other males long, lean chest rose and fell in his sleep. He could see L’s ribs and hips traced by his thin shirt. He could even sometimes see small peeks of liquid-paper white skin when L accidentally pulled his shirt up in his sleep…

L’s navel had always been a point of interest for Light. The small, round dip in L’s already seemingly collapsed stomach. Light had only seen it once or twice, when L had finally unfolded himself on the couch as he slept, his shirt being hiked up enough for Light to see. It was almost like a forbidden area, considering how L’s stomach was pretty much constantly hidden…

Well, it defiantly ruled out the spore theory…

Light would carefully watch L’s chest rise and fall, watching how his stomach dipped when it reached his sharp hips. How his paper-thin skin tented around his organs, the only thing seemingly keeping it up being his practically bare bones.

Light would just chuckle very softly, reaching forward to brush just the tips of his fingers across the dark-haired detectives abdomen.

Said detective would whimper and squirm at the touch. He defiantly wasn’t used to the feeling. He generally avoided it for the sake of his cases…

When L grimaced, Light’s attention would drift to his thin, sharp face. How his uneven hair fell over his rarely closed eyes. How his thin, long nose would flare slightly as his lips twitched. His eyelids fluttered as his eyes moved underneath, observing his own dream. Light could see L’s throat flexing as he mouthed his dream with his voice box, talking to someone in his sleep.

Light couldn’t help but smile. L looked so adorable when he slept…

L always looked so frail. So breakable. So paper-thin. He seemed like he would shatter if Light touched him too hard…

Because of this, Light was always so very gentle, making sure to barely make contact when he would kiss L in his sleep…

Light always loved the way his paper-thin angel would whisper Light’s name so very softly as he slept…
