Posted a story go an error...
...now I have the story twice on my profile page HELP!!!

I have the same duplicate posting error on mine. Oddly enough, mine is on a Harry Potter Fanfic, too. Does yours not show up on the Edit Stories page? I have 2 original stories, and I can edit them, but my HP Fanfic, which is posted twice, doesn't show up there. I've emailed admin, but got no answer so far.

Plutospawn I also got an error message and have two duplicate fics up instead of just one. But while they show up in the category, they don't show up on my edit stories profile page so I can't fix the problem, myself.

Heathenesque Same problem here. They need to move to a new server, or get someone who has time to deal with this. They could at least ANSWER my emails. Even if it's a canned message, at least acknowledge that it was read.

Worse? I can't even find where to delete my account entirely.

missfiona this happened to me, too.
I uploaded the story, received an error page, uploaded it again, and managed to delete one of the duplicates, but now I can't access the story in my 'edit stories' option.
hm.

alanahikarichan Nthing the problem, but my fic's in the YGO section, not the Harry Potter...

It sucks, because not only can I not delete the story, it was going to be multi-chaptered... but I won't be able to upload any new chapters I write. Whoop-dee-doo.

Pyrasaur Same here, with my two Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney fics. One fic I deleted and a phantom copy remains, and the other fic can just stay doubled up on my profile because I obviously can't do anything about it. At least now I know that the "server problem" message doesn't mean the fic didn't post...

Solution
Another victim of the uneditable story problem. I just discovered how to fix it from another forum topic.

Look on your profile page and find out the story number from the link to the story. For example, see the number at the end here: http://www.ficwad.com/viewstory.php?sid=12345

Then, use either of these links to edit or delete the story by adding your story number to the end.
http://www.ficwad.com/stories.php?action=editstory&sid=
http://www.ficwad.com/stories.php?action=deletestory&sid=

Voila. *has deleted the problem story.
