Like Some Song You Can't Unlearn

Fascinating chapter, there. I can see why the students would be wary of him, anyone who demonstrates that much power and ability is worth being careful around. I can understand, but not necessarily approve of, the staff's attitude, esp. since they had to be shamed into doing what was right (surprised that he didn't hit Dumbles with the 'right vs. easy' quote). I thought the fight in the alley was nicely written and well-played.

Finally, that night with Narcissa was quite a hot piece of writing and much enjoyed. Her advice was quite to the point, too.

I'll be interested in seeing just where things go from here, both at Hogwarts and against Tom.

Author's response

What makes you so sure the staff isn't ashamed? You make some nice comments but remember, it is only Harry's opinion that they are shunning him and he isn't exactly the best at the whole emotion thing. I'm glad you enjoyed Narcissa, after the last chapter Harry demanded some action so I gave him some. BJH
