I flipped out while reading this in the bathroom at work [yes I frequently shirk responsibility to hide and read fanfic]. I was overjoyed. If Pete's going to cheat on the glory that is Beata with some trampy tramp, he deserves to be found out. And who better than Patrick to do it? NO ONE!
