Heh, I like this Hermione, she's not taking things passively yet she's not lashing out as intensely as Harry is. I'm hoping that she can help him learn to control his power, esp. if she's learning to control hers and sharing the lessons she learns as she goes. I do find it interesting that she's still exploiting the weaknesses she's found in the wizarding world; it will be interesting if she continues her research and finds how to exploit their laziness in stopping at "a" answer rather than looking for better or more complete answers; I'll bet there's several things they've totally lost due to neglect that way.
