Good story, all 'round. Shino doesn't seem obsessed. Merely concentrated in his Shino-like way. And considering that he doesn't have many close friends, having a close girlfriend would make him very very concentrated. Besides, working out long distance relationships makes things more difficult, and leaves the feeling of regret, and unfinished business, which you have captured perfectly. Kudos to you.
