It's not getting pointless, in fact I think it's getting TO the point.
The out of character thing, yeah, I guess Roxanna is a little bit. But like, she's supposed to right? She's just that way around Gerard, because she likes him. I think that's only normal, as long as she doesn't turn all innocent-like in later chapters.
