Eeeee! Well-written Itachi fic! That alone is enough to make me smile. I like how Itachi acknowledges that he cannot hide his emotions at all; it's an intriguing twist on a character who too often falls into the blandly evil villain stereotype. I like how you mention Itachi being fascinated with Kabuto and (to a lesser extent) describing the other people around him. And the fic won me over with the last line, because it really is all about the Itachi/Sasuke angst, and you reference it beautifully without being overwhelming.
