I love it. I was always wondering who else would get the relationship between Mello and Near, and I know; if there was in fact a relationship between them, how it started.
I would also like to express the ages of the boys...
Mello was born December 13, 1989, and died January 26th, 2010. So that would have made him 21.
Near was born August 24th, 1991. It does not say his Death day. But considering Mello was 21 when he died, and Near was 2 years younger than him, which would make him 19. I don't really how many years those two worked on the case, because I'm too lazy to go through my whole book just to see it.
But Mello is older, just to let you know.
You have a great style of writing, and I hope I helped even a little bit. Since I did not find a mistake in your grammar or spelling, I just had to pick out the thing that Death Note lovers had been debating for years, and that was age. Sorry.
