I like the story, but I have a plot question. How is it that Dudley had a child the same age as Ted? She would have to have been born during Book 7. Not impossible, but an explanation is probably required for the premise to be believable. Usually these kinds of stories are set a little farther in the future.

Carla is actually about a year younger than Ted.
