I hope you'll eventually take up this story again. Your writings are refreshing with just enough otherness to be intriguing without descending into indiocy :)
Actually I would encourage you to consider trying original stories instead of just fanfiction. You seem to be past that sticking point most would be writers have as far as story plot and capable of producing something original in nature.
