second: point three, I saw it more as Albus had been working for years to get Slughorn, so he just continued trying, even though it was no longer needed, a sign, perhaps, that AD's mind was already slipping
third: glad you liked how technomagic was accepted -- sort of like videos and the internet!
fourth -- Harry had a hard time teaching intro to techonomagic because so few students had the background; in the story Hermione's parents made her keep up with things like maths and basic computer skills (for example she was reading a book on html, still fairly new in 1994, early in the story), while Harry was tutored and then read on his own the whole year, and Luna was tutored by Hermione (all as very passing references throughout the story)
fifth, well, you know 'they say prison changes a man'! Sirius is often too normal in fanfics, and the man should be a bit wacko!
