Great idea, the crossover of steam punk and Harry Potter.
While the steam world is done well, I personally think your handling of the HP world is a little heavy handed. I applaud the anger of Harry over the supposed death of Hermione. I enjoy stories that push him to defeat LV by any means necessary.
Does Harry really need titles, vassals, and ridiculous amounts of money to defeat Voldy? Having Harry become a powerful wizard through hard work is interesting to read, not having it handed to him on a silver platter by the omnipresent butler.
Barring what I said above, I am looking forward to your rewrite.
