Bahahaha. I didn't know you could get cherry cordial, I'll have to look for it... What about ACTUAL cherries?!

I was in the mood for something sweet tonight, but having found nothing sweet in the house, I showered with a chocolate and vanilla shower cream and I keep smelling my arm. Not quite the same... but it'll do!

By the way - what IS a MarySue? I've seen it on the ratings page and just have no idea! (despite the fact it says 'we all know her'...) x

Author's response

The best way to describe a MarySue is to give an example...

MarySue is better at everything than everyone. She sings better than Patrick, she's more hyper than Pete, she spins faster than Joe, plays drums better than Andy - even if she's never sat at a drum kit in her life (because a lot of people think drumming's that easy anyway!!!)!

Usually she has unusual coloured eyes - eg violet. Or, they actually change colour with her mood (what? doesn't everyone's?). She's often got some sort of power - like she's psychic or can sense danger. Perhaps she's an amazing singer or has healing properties of some description (ie she's a walking Panadol/Tylenol)

But most of all, above everything - she is the lead character and everyone else is 'also there' and the person who the writer fancies will fall suddenly and desperately in love with MarySue (even if he's married or whatever) even, or especially, if he's only just met her.

The guy version is a GaryStu.

The slightly less of a problem character is a self-insert where the author puts herself into the story. Usually with the same results, but without the powers, abilities and multicoloured eyes.

Always a good idea to keep a Kit Kat in the fridge! Yummmm!!

I LOVE cherries!!! I would push a granny out of the way for a bag of cherries!
Seriously - I've had a LOT of pseudonyms over the years and most have them have had something to do with cherries.

The cherry cordial is made by a company called Bottle Green - tis yummy! Took some along to band practice tonight and after tipping half a litre of it down I had SOOO much energy to play Teenagers and Dance Dance - you wouldn't believe!! Was I Bob? Was I Andy? Nah, not even close! But was great fun, nevertheless! Got 2 more days till the gig -sure it'll be fine!! :)

Anyhoo, so yeah, that's a MarySue
