Oooh, interesting. Have you ever seen a flash cartoon series by the name of Salad Fingers? Your story's protagonist reminds me a little of Salad Fingers. The fish, his "friends" -- does he eat them eventually? He's probably starving if he's keeping the dead fish for company rather than consumption. It doesn't seem like he's very interested in rescue. How long's he been stranded.
