Oh my goodness. That was so sad, and so brilliant! I really felt how desperate and upset Pete was, and the part where he was crying into his hands was so hard-hitting. Seriously, I'm all choked up writing this :3
How did Patrick get to the bottom of those stairs? Was he pushed? Did he just fall? Guess I'll have to wait for the next chapter to find out :D

The stairs thing - this whole chapter links back to the first two chapters, where Patrick is sitting next to Pete watching the news report before going into the explanation of how it all started (chapter 2). He fell down the stairs as he hid from Pete in a doorway, as he was still too angry to speak to him. He leaned against the door only to find it was open and fell down a long flight of steps.
There is a vague reference to how Pete found him as he says 'He may even have heard the cry I let out as I pushed back against what I soon realised was an open door'
So, as he passed, Pete heard him fall and found him.
Thing is though - how does he know about PPP and Pete missing Ashlee and Bronx if it didn't happen?
