A very nice addition! I find the whole resorting thing funny, and I have only one question, pertaining to who else would have needed to be resorted and for what reason.
Ah well, great work, cant wait for tangent 11, though number 10 does sound good too.

Holly was the only re-admit that needed Sorting, but some of the other new students were home-schooled well enough to be admitted close to the year that fits their age.
Melody Fordham for example is from a poor but long-traced magical family where she was taught basic charms, herbology and some advanced potion-brewing. She's actually nearly 15 but admitted as a third year because the rest of her skills aren't up to a decent standard (Transfiguration, History, Astronomy, and Defense are all nearly non-existent), but she accepted the challenge to work extra hard in order to get a Hogwarts education.
I worked up this background and I'm not even certain she'll be a speaking character. Talk about tangents!
