interesting story, seems to be well written and it is catching your attention too, but why was he without footwear, seems to me in a house that is colder than sin cause of petunia adversion to a large fire in the fireplace then he should of been wearing some kind of shoes, at least you would think that now wouldnt you....

come on, it's the Dursleys we're talking about here, d'you think they'd let him wear shoes and socks? they'd be more inclined to make him try and freeze to death
