um...this confuses deeply!! can u like explain? is this gerard's way of coping? did he shoot frank? can you explain please?

It's really open to the reader's interpretation. Most people think that it's Gerard's way of coping and that Frank was killed by a burgular-because the window was broken- but some people think that Gerard killed him, and that's what triggered the voices. There's proof either way, it's really open to your own interpretation.
