With regard to the BATF, all I can say is "Project Gunrunner" and "Operation Fast and Furious"; after those dangerous fiascos, there needs to be a wholesale overhaul from the top down. Search on those and you'll be appalled at what they've done.
I agree that alcohol has some good (some necessary medical drugs will dissolve in nothing else) though I don't touch it otherwise. Tabacco, I have no desire for (cigarette smoke got to my sinuses as a kid so I was never even tempted to smoke) but I'm tempted, these days, to call smokers "the only minority it's legal to discriminate against". I think it a nasty habit but I dislike the over-reach of the "nanny-state".
I'll be back later with reviews.
BATF: I've seen those and more. Having been in the military for too many years, I thought I'd seen every sort of abuse there was.
Not even close!
I agree. I was arrested some years ago for protesting the five dollar 'sin-tax' on cigarettes. What a co-inky-dink the tax appeared just after that worthless lawsuit was settled. On a side note, none of the moneys actually paid (a lot less than was ordered) ever made it to the people it was meant to help. the state administrators and the attorneys got it all. If there's still some drifting around, it's being used for token -payments to the victims.
