How Hogwarts got it's pool

That was pretty much what I was intending it to be. About the only thing I could come up with that I didn't put in would be a gloating scene the next morning at breakfast; and I felt that didn't deal with the pool itself. Something along the lines of the Peter singing Yellow Submarine, but that would have been about it.

This is my shot at trying get back to writing something less serious than technical documents, which I've been stuck doing for the past 2+ years.

Is the NEC one of the ones that were recalled for causing severe leg burns? I remember those well. Win 95 or 98 installed, and BSODs any time you ran it more than an hour and a half without air conditioning. Fun times.

Up until a fire a month and a half ago, I still had my original IBM PC with 512K RAM (due to the Multifunction card), two 360K floppies, and a 20Mb hard card for storage. It still ran, (crawled?) at 4.77Mhz.

I'm running this one because I wanted to play with GNOME, and my preferred Fujitsu life book wouldn't let me. Ubuntu 11 tells me it requires a minimum of 256Mb to install. Here's a tip: When it asks "Would you like to try with 239?" Don't. After about a half hour, it crashes and burns spectacularly.

It's too bad, because I would have loved to have the 6 hour battery life the Fujitsu has. Maybe I'll try again with KDE.

Anyhow, thanks for the review, as it helps me put more thought into the next one.
