Great story, rather hilarious tale with the basllisk jokes. I would assume thatt it was quirrel doing the first attack?
Cannot wait to read more on the Nymph. Is that what we as the readers should call her? Or does charlie have a name for her?

Thank you so much! I sometimes wonder what readers think they are getting, and whether a chapter that's basically just a long string of jokes with little plot advancement will leave people cheated of whatever it is they think they are here for. I mean, I'm going to write it anyway, but still. :P
I'm really glad someone other than me is willing to say they liked the nymph -- I was beginning to wonder why no one wanted to talk about her!
Charlie doesn't have a name for her, other than maybe something like "Hufflepuff's Legacy", "Hufflepuff's Monster", or "Hufflepuff's Very Questionable Idea". :P
Personally, I'm not even bothering to capitalize "nymph". The lack of a name was one of those things that just came to me from somewhere as "right", so I can't claim it's motivated by something conscious on my part. But the effect should be to make humans slightly uncomfortable and slightly conscious of being human.
I am moving relatively slowly on the story atm. I have the next 5k words written, though. "Slow to update" does not mean "not being actively worked on". :)
