::whistkes:: First of all, welcome back, I've missed new work from you though I admit to thoroughly enjoying re-reading your existing work. I love the clear point of departure for this AU and I look forward to seeing how matters evolve, especially once the "thing" (horcrux, soul-piece, or whatever) in Harry's head is examined and either removed or rendered harmless. The means of their escape from Britain was a nice touch and I'm looking forward to seeing where things go from here. Mind you, this method does seem faintly reminiscent of another story, on FFN, where they run the summer after Fifth Year, and, at one point, hide in a trunk which is then shipped non-magically to the US.

I don't think I've come across that story, but I guess it's almost impossible to come with angles no one else has used in some way! Of course, my North American Confederation has been in at least three of my previous fics, and I used technomages in one as well. Hopefully many will enjoy the fic in any event
