So, you've plumped putting Harry in Ravenclaw. I notice that a lot of people do that in AU stories - mostly because the 'Claws are a good 'neutral' house. Both Slytherin and Hufflepuff carry with them lots of characterisation baggage that puts off some authors.

Anyway, it is interesting to see the different direction you are taking this. Harry has been raised basically as a pureblood in this universe (by members of the two oldest families - The Potters and the Blacks), so he will necessarily think differently. He is unlikely to be prejudiced against Muggleborns, but he will probably be a bit of a snob towards 'lineless' students like Hermione.

This story has a unique approach to the HP universe and I'm interested to see where you take it.

Author's response

I agree about the houses. I can't do much with Hufflepuff, but Slytherin I like in more dark!Harry stories. Ravenclaw gives me the flexibility of still being a strong character but with a new support of characters. Because of Harry's situation growing up, he doesn't really think about bloodlines, especially being famous as he is and all the interviews/photoshoots/visits, et cetera, that he does he's a pretty middle of the road person. The only family he's wary of is the Malfoys for how they treated his aunt, and I think leaving it wide open gives the chance of people like Michael Corner and others to not like Harry for unintentionally not being attentive to them and such.
