A beautiful ending to one hell of a yarn. How true about TV evangelists. Thanks for such an enjoyable read and your responses. Thanks for your kind words, mate. In more than a few ways, I’m sorry it’s over. It was an adventure to write.
I despise Televangelists. As far as I’m concerned, they are all thieves and charlatans. It would be better if they were used car salesmen. Then, at least people would understand that they were going to be screwed over. Someone once said; “Organized religion is the worst disaster to befall mankind.” I think it was Robert Heinlein, but I can’t be sure.
We did have a nice Christmas, actually. There wasn’t a huge pile of crap under the tree, and there was most definitely an empty spot in our lives, but we had each other, and that’s all that matters.
I have several more stories in the works. When I am more financially secure, I‘ll start posting again.
