You can't five this story up, I'll cry seriously :O
I think option 1 is fantastic. I don't mind waiting a long while for an update, as long as it's...updated. This is my favorite story by you, and you are definitely one of my favorite authors on Ficwad. If it stresses you out too much, though, then it's your choice if you want to drop it or not :)
