You are a cruel mistress indeed.
There's something very poetic about the way you write and I find it so easy to slip into another world whilst reading this (and your other) story (/stories) but if I could just offer the tiniest bit of con crit?
The detail you put into your work is wonderful and the characters have such depth that I just want to reach out and hug them but I think sometimes (not so much, actually, in this chapter so this may be unfair for me to say) the descriptions could be shortened slightly.
That of course is only my opinion but you put so much work into these fictions that I felt the need to give as much back in a review
Once again this chapter was marvellous and I seriously can't wait for you to update again!

Con-crit is great- and I actually totally agree with you about the description thing. I've tried to get it toned down a little in more recent chapters by balancing the descriptive bits out with less descriptive ones, but I probably don't always succeed...:L Is it improving a little in the last few chapters, d'you think?
