I´m just gonna compliment you with a line from this chapter: " This was all too real and it hurt all too much. " I´m not the best at empathy but you really leave me no choice but to feel with Izzy, Patrick and yes, even Pete. I think I´ve marvelled at your realism and ambiance before, so just take my worship of those as a given.
There´s one thing I wonder about though: Does it hurt to be so wonderfully talented?
