I totally get where you're coming from. I have Asian parents, so it's like whenever I don't do something right, or not their way, I feel guilty. I want them to be proud of me and I want to know that they support me.

But I've been thinking about it too, and sometimes I feel like I'd rather make myself happy instead of being pressured by my parents, because I don't want to be working in a cubicle when I'm 40 and look back on my life and regret not taking those risky opportunities.
