If you're writing a whole new story then how about a horror MCR? They move into a nice old Victorian style house owned by one of the guys distant relatives. The guys move there because they want to get away from the stresses from everything in their current situation and want some time to relax and get away from it all.
But the house is, obviously, haunted.(because I did suggest that it'd be a horror) one Certain nights the clocks in the house chime like they normally but after the midnight hour the clocks are supposed to chime once, chime thirteen times instead before completely stop moving while the undead start to wake up and wreak havoc throughout the house.
Just an idea. It's cool if you don't feel like this one suits you.

hmmmm I like the horror idea! So it's kind of like the paramour mansion... I'm one for realism and not very good at the supernatural or surreal, so maybe I won't add in the walking dead, though that would be a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion!!! :D
