I've had that, except the guy lived in my town and went to the same school; like not even 2 hours into us dating he was already "OH I LOVE YOU! BABE WE'RE GOING TO BE TOGETHER FOREVER" and all that, but he was too shy to talk to me in person (for a bit, then he was overclingy)
Give it a bit (do what I did, a week and if you're still not feeling it, just end it)
