Well, this is not original. Cassie has done it. However, I have read a few others who have managed to pull it off. (Letters from Lórien, one of them.)
I found this not very funny. I think the problem was its lack of subtlety. It was really too much; as if you were trying too hard. Redone with a lighter touch, I think this would work much better.

Oh? Of course, your inane writings acted as kind of litmus test of intelligence and higher-order
thinking, you're obviously an excellent writer. Not. I've read a couple of your stories and they're exactly anything to write home about.
