I do hope you get around to updating this one as I definitely like the start. I'd prefer Harry/Padma or Harry/Padma/some other smart witch to a pairing with Ginny, canon just doesn't ring true that way. If you're not going to have Hermione paired with Harry, how about her paired with Neville, that could be a powerful team and they'd balance each other well.
