Circumcision isn't really common in europe, and the cleanliness argument I've only ever heard from americans. Is Holly american in your headcanon? : D

You are correct- I had bad info that ended up buried in this conversation. I haven't gone back to reword it, though in the Spiral AU, I'm still favoring the idea that Lily had Harry snipped on the basis of preferring it. All that just so I can keep the joke intact.
When others pointed this out, I did further research- even in America, circumcision is performed on 'only' 75% of boys.
