Please be careful not to make the kids too erudite, though, ok? Words like "disparaging" just won't occur to any 11-year-old other than the bookworms. Make them all as everyday as you're comfortable doing.

That may or may not be a good catch on how they speak. I've tried to dumb it down somewhat but these are all highly intelligent children. Blaise isn't on their level but Harry is on the same level as the girls are. The other issue is that I realize that in England they do speak a bit different than us Yanks over here across the pond do, for that reason I have tried to change their speech patterns in an effort to not make them so Americanized. Perhaps "disparaging" wasn't the best choice of words?
