To the LemonSage

As my first review of this story let me start off by saying that you have written a truly addictive story of which I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of the next chapter after your hiatus. And you will be pleased to know that this is a story in which I have never been disappointed in reading and has taken an admittedly shallow franchise and added depth and complexity and has me avidly interested in the characters that has me rereading chapters for missed details and foreshadowing as well as the the sheer enjoyment factor.

So in this review I have a question/observation and a possible suggestion both regarding interactions between Kiyomi and the taki-nin and how it still might affect later chapters, I know that this is practically ancient history storywise but bear with me. I know that the contention between kiyomi and Naruto over the treatment of the taki-nin has more or less resolved but the dialogue between her and taki-nin in chapter 51 gives me the impression that she can still be similarly ruthless when slighted against. I am curious if this aspect of her personality will pop up later in the story involving other characters and if it will have future consequences for the “family”. As for my hopefully helpful suggestion I wonder if you will add either a limelight chapter or a section in a main story chapter involving Tifa and Kiyomi and them coming to terms with each other as Kiyomi stated in chapter 51. I am sure that you’ve had plenty of comments regarding the attention paid to some of the female characters so I will spare you of any comments of that nature and trust in you too continue to produce a grand story and hope that my suggestion is a helpful one

Author's response

Thank you very much for giving my story your first review. I'm glad it hasn't disappointed and I hope that continues to be the case.

To answer your question, I kind of feel Kiyomi has moved beyond the woman that could be that vindictive. After all, her talk with Ibiki shows that she knows that she can't just violate people's minds to make issues go away. Granted, she had a more personal reason for her actions against the Taki-nin, but the lessen learned there she applied to her dealing with Ibiki. Now, I still believe she can be ruthless against those she feels are a danger to her family, but that would be in the more physically destructive sense. I don't really have plans to show such a scene between Tifa and Kiyomi. I feel a similar one would be the Mikoto and Tsume scene where they buried their differences. To me, once Naruto selects a woman it is kind of implied that those that might have issue with one another tend to put them behind them. I like to believe it is because they recognize that Naruto's recognizing them as being good enough for the family tends to mean past issues belong in the past. If Tifa and Kiyomi appear together again their history and this new kinship might be referenced. But, I do not necessarily know if it required its own scene to get it across.

Thank you again.
