How depressing. I suspect that part of the reason why she didn't make it outside the box was because the people inside the box didn't let her learn.

not exactly, but sort of. see, the thing was that she was lost, she was living in a shadow of a lie that she didnt realize that she was living. It happens to the best of us. She was so sheltered, as you said people didnt let her learn that she didnt nknow what the real world was like. when she finally discovered it out of curiousity, there was no turning back from the heartache and disapointment that filled that world and knowing it. she couldnt get back to the world she loved so much because ... once she found out, that world was gone. im having trouble explaining it... it sounds better in my head lmao.
