This is well-written, particularly the details, such as his grandmother's eyes following a story only she could see. Somehow, having her talk to him, and then seeing him bury his family, really brings home the pain of the massacre. I also like Sakura's transformation, brought about by the same grief and pain I should imagine. Crit: I don't see what's ironic in the situation. Irony and karma suppose some form of opposite or the unexpected, such as getting killed by someone who's life you saved, or getting killed by the person you swore to kill. Getting put down like a rabid dog by a friend is tragic and nicely twisted, but under the circumstances, not illogical or unexpected. If it's ironic because Sakura is now as bitter and driven as he was, or because she once said he was her whole life and she's not killing him, maybe underline that with a sentence to that effect. Other than that, interesting one-shot!
